Guest Experience Manager (PJ's Coffee)

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Guest Experience Manager, you are the backbone of our daily operations. You will lead a team of baristas to deliver an exceptional guest experience, uphold PJ's service standards, and keep the store running smoothly - from inventory and waste control to events and team development. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves coffee culture and thrives in a fast-moving, people-first environment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the shift from opening to closing and make sure the team and store are always guest-ready
Coach and support baristas day-to-day, and guide trainees through their probation period
Ensure every guest has a great experience and handle any issues promptly
Plan and execute in-store events for 30 or more guests, from setup to service
Monitor stock levels and place orders to keep daily operations running smoothly
Complete daily and weekly reports on sales and inventory accurately and on time
Minimise waste of milk, coffee, and other ingredients through good practices and team awareness
Run regular knowledge-sharing and coffee culture sessions to keep the team sharp
Ensure the store meets all food safety, hygiene, and service standards at all times
REQUIREMENTS
1 years of barista or F&B experience, with at least 3-6 months in a lead or senior role
A hospitality mindset - you genuinely care about making people feel welcome
Strong foundation in espresso brewing, milk techniques, and specialty coffee knowledge
A natural leader who can motivate a team and hold standards with empathy
Comfortable communicating in English with guests and in written reports
Confident working with numbers - inventory counts, waste logs, and sales figures
Flexible with shifts including weekends and public holidays
